(a) whether the repair work done recently on historic Charminar at Hyderabad by Archaeological Survey of India suffered more damage and ornamental motifs at several places were chipped off;
(b) if so, the reasons therefor; and
(c) the steps taken to retrieve the historic edifice of Charminar ?

(a) The Charminar has not suffered any damage due to the conservation work carried out by Archaeological Survey of India.
(b) Does not arise.
(c) The maintenance and conservation of the Charminar, a nationally protected monument is an ongoing process.
