(a) whether the survey for Sitapur-Lucknow broad gauge railway line has been conducted by the Union Government;
(b) if so, the time when this survey was conducted;
(c) whether any steps have been taken for construction of the above railway-line by the Government till date;
(d) if so, the details thereof; and
(e) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (e): Yes Sir. After detailed survey, the work of broad gauge line by doing gauge conversion of existing Metre Gauge line from Lucknow to Sitapur (88.60 km) has been completed and commissioned, as a part of Lucknow-Pilibhit via Sitapur, Lakhimpur (262.76 Km) gauge conversion project.
