(a) whether the State Government of Jharkhand had changed the name of Palamu district headquarters as Medininagar in the year 2004 though the name of railway station is still Daltonganj;
(b) if so, whether the Government proposes to change the name of Daltonganj railway station and rename it as Medininagar;
(c) if so, the time by which it is likely to be done; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) : Yes Madam, the State Government of Jharkhand had changed the name of Palamu District headquarters as Medininagar in the year 2004. However, the name of railway station is still Daltonganj.
(b) to (d) : No proposal for renaming Daltonganj railway station as Medininagar has been received from the State Government of Jharkhand.
