(a): Yes. Government of India has taken up following projects under Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY) in the State of Andhra Pradesh and Gujarat :
I. Andhra Pradesh
1. Upgradation of SVIMS, Tirupati
2. Upgradation of Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada
3. Upgradation of Government Medical College, Anantapur
4. Setting up of new AIIMS at Mangalagiri

II. Gujarat
1. Upgradation of BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad
2. Upgradation of Government Medical College, Rajkot
3. Upgradation of Government Medical College, Bhavnagar
4. Upgradation of Government Medical College, Surat
5. Setting up of new AIIMS at Rajkot
(b) & (c): Siddhartha Medical College, Vijayawada and Government Medical College, Anantapur have been taken up for upgradation at an approved cost of Rs. 150 crore each (Central share – Rs. 120 crore and State share – Rs. 30 crore), under Phase-III of PMSSY. Details of funds released are as follows:

Timeline for completion of the ugradation work depends upon various factors like approval of authorities concerned, approval of DPR and issue of notification of award. The timeline for completion of works is mentioned in the notification of award and is generally for a period of 16 to 24 months from date of award of work depending upon the size of the project and local site specific conditions.
(d): PMSSY is a Central Sector Scheme, being implemented by the Ministry directly through Executing Agency and Procurement Support Agency. Under PMSSY, funds are released directly to Executing Agency and Procurement Support Agency. Details of the fund released for the PMSSY projects in Gujarat and their status are enclosed as Annexure.
