(a) whether the Government proposes to increase allowance per trainee for apprenticeship training in Industrial Units;
(b) if so, the outline of the proposal prepared in this regard; and
(c) if not, the reasons therefor along with the views and the action plan of the Government in this regard?
(a) to (c) Government do not have any proposal under consideration to increase allowance per trainee for apprenticeship training in industrial units. However, establishments are free to pay stipend to the apprentices engaged by them, at a rate higher than that prescribed under the Apprentices Act, 1961.
