(a) to (c): Railways are engaged in a continuous exercise to safeguard its land boundaries and take action to remove encroachments. In the last three years, 10490 number of encroachments were noticed. Whereas removal of encroachments is taken up as per provisions of Public Premises(Eviction of Unauthorized Occupants) Act, 1971, protection of Railway land/property from encroachments is done by providing boundary walls, fencing, tree plantation, etc. at vulnerable locations on a programmed basis.
