(a) the number of Skill Development Centres in Madhya Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana(PMKVY) district-wise; and
(b) whether the Government has formulated any scheme to provide employment to the youth getting training from the said training centres and if so, the details thereof?
(a) Under Skill India Mission, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) is implementing its flagship scheme Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY). Under Short Term Training (STT) component of PMKVY, candidates are being trained in short duration courses through empanelled Training Centres (TCs). Also, Ministry promotes establishment of model training centres known as Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Kendra (PMKK) in every district throughout the country, including the State of Madhya Pradesh.
Under PMKVY, 2538 TCs (including PMKKs) have been empanelled, covering 51 districts of the State of Madhya Pradesh. The District-wise TCs in the State of Madhya Pradesh is given at Annexure.
(b) Under PMKVY, placement opportunities are being provided to STT certified candidates. In the State of Madhya Pradesh, under PMKVY-STT (including Special Projects) 6,02,745 candidates have been trained as on date 30.06.2022 in said training centres, out of which 2,19,972 has been reported placed in various sectors and 26,421 have been self employed. More and more private companies/organizations are being made partners in PMKYV to ensure employment.
