Question : FUNDS UNDER NCLP

(a)the funds allocated/released/spent by the Government under the National Child Labour Project (NCLP) and Grant-in- aid scheme in the country during each of the last three years and the current year;

(b)the names and details of Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) through which the said schemes have been implemented along with the details of funds provided to such NGOs in this regard, State/UT-wise; and

(c)the details of child labourers benefited under NCLP during the said period, year and State/UT-wise?

(a): The funds released to the District Societies under National Child Labour Project (NCLP) Scheme during the last three years and current year are at Annexure-I The Names of NGOs and funds released to them under Grant In Aid Scheme during the last three years and current year are at Annexure-II.

(b): Under NCLP Scheme, funds are released to the District Project Societies headed by District Magistrates/Collectors who in turn allocate the funds for the Special Training Centres run by NGOs/Govt. agencies/local agencies etc. The District Project Societies function under the overall supervision of the District Collectors/Magistrates and funds to the NGOs are released by the District Project Societies and no record of NGOs engaged for running NCLP Special Training Centres is maintained at the Ministry level.

(c): The details of child labourers mainstreamed under NCLP Scheme during the last three years are at Annexure-III.
