(a) whether the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has taken a decision to disqualify an
international telecom equipment firm from participating in the financial bid for its GSM tender
who had offered a lowest price; and
(b) if so, the reasons therefor?

(a) & (b) Sir, the international telecom equipment firm was disqualified by BSNL on
the ground that its bid was not fulfilling the techno-commercial eligibility criteria. The
offered price by the said firm is not known as the financial bid was not opened by BSNL as
per terms and conditions of the tender announced in advance.
