Question : Lalit Narayan Mithila University Darbhanga

(a) whether the admission process for the academic session 2020-21 has been closed in the Directorate of Distance Education of Lalit Narayan Mithila Univesity Darbhanga;

(b) whether there is a proposal to restart admission process in various courses of the University through distance education in the interest of the students;

(c) if so, the details thereof;

(d) whether there is a proposal to construct the building for one more Kendriya Vidyalaya in Darbhanga; and

(e) if so, the time by which the construction work is likely to be started?

(a): Lalit Narayan Mithila University, Darbhanga has informed that admission process in its Directorate of Distance Education has been closed for 2020-21.

(b) & (c): As informed by University Grants Commission (UGC), there is no such proposal.

(d) & (e): Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has informed that at present two Kendriya Vidyalayas (KVs) are in Darbhanga i.e. KV No. 1, AFS, Darbhanga and KV No. 2, Darbhanga. Due to non transfer of land in favour of KVS by the sponsoring authority, KV No. 2 is functioning in the building of KV No. 1 in second shift.
