(a) whether high level discussions on tribal related issues including implementation of Forest Rights Act and Panchayats Extension in Scheduled Areas (PESA) Act were also held during the National Tribal Carnival held recently;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government had also invited some foreign delegates in the said Carnival; and
(d) if so, the details thereof, country-wise?

(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. On sidelines of National Tribal Carnival series of Workshop on thematic areas concerning tribal population were held including on subjects such as - “provisions of The Panchayats Extension to The Scheduled Areas (PESA) Act, 1996”; “Forest Rights Act, 2006 – its implementation, benefits to tribal and other traditional forest dwelling communities and its challenges”, etc. Officers from concerned Ministries/ Departments and experts from specific fields also took part in discussions.
(c) No, Madam.
(d) Does not arise in view of (c) above.
