(a) This Ministry is supplementing the efforts of the State Governments by providing financial assistance for taking up pollution abatement works in towns along identified stretches of various rivers under the National River Conservation Plan (NRCP), on the basis of proposals received from the State Governments. No proposal has been received from Government of Jammu & Kashmir for development of river Tawi in Jammu under the NRCP.
(b) Question does not arise in view of para (a) above.
