Question : Placement under APY

(a) whether any study has been conducted by the Government approved agencies regarding status of percentage of placement under Apprentice Protsahan Yojana (APY);

(b) if so, the details thereof; and

(c) whether the Government has any new initiatives to encourage training for employment in call centres and if so, the details thereof?

(c) ‘Call Centre Assistant’ trade has been designated under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for candidates to undergo apprenticeship training for employment in call centres.
