(a) whether his Ministry has drawn up a 20 year road development scheme;
(b) if so, the details of such scheme; and
(c) the funds provided for completion of the said scheme including the foreign assistance sought for the purpose alongwith details thereof?

(a) to (c) Ministry has got prepared Road Development Plan- Vision 2021 document through Indian Road Congress. This document addresses the issues of inadequate budgetary allocation, preservation of assets, capacity building in road sector, target road network for year 2021 etc. for the overall road network in India and does not contain any scheme-wise details of National Highways for which this Ministry is primarily responsible. As the Tenth Five Year Plan 2002-2007 is yet to be finalized, it is not possible to furnish any further details at this stage.
