High Court orders for removal of such structures have also been complied with. However, it is true that some temporary encroachments in the form of vendors plying their wares in the open area around Jama Masjid during the day time and removing themselves in the evening are noticed in this area. A Committee has also been set up under the Dy. Commissioner (Central) by the orders of Lt. Governor, Delhi to carry out regular anti-encroachment drives against such encroachments.
