Question : Special Clean-up of Temples of Andhra Pradesh

(a) the progress achieved in special clean-up of Tirupati Temple and Raghavendra Swamy Temple, Andhra Pradesh under the Swachh Iconic Places;
(b) the details of funds sanctioned and utilized for the scheme;
(c) whether the Ministry plans to extend the scheme to other heritage, spiritual and cultural places of the State; and
(d) if so, the details thereof?

(a)& (b): There is no such scheme in the Ministry of Tourism. However, as per the information available following works were undertaken by the Tirupati Temple, Swachh Iconic Places (SIP) site:

(i) Utilization of recycled water for Gardens along Alipiri footpath.
(ii) Remote monitoring system of LED lighting system for energy conservation.
(iii) LED lighting at security line, Alipiri footpath.
(iv) Cleaning machinery equipment to ensure the township clean and serene.
(v) Purchase of buses & battery operated vehicles.
(vi) Setting up of solid waste management system.
(vii) Construction of Public toilet block at APSRTC North Block.
(viii) Construction of Public toilet block at Seva Sadan- 2.
(ix) Construction of Public toilet block at Sannidhanam Block.
(x) Construction of Public toilet block at in front of Venugopala Swamy Temple.
(xi) Construction of Public toilet block at Vaibhava Rest House.

For the Raghavendra Swamy Temple-No progress under the Swachh Iconic Places has been reported.

(c) & (d): There is no such plan under Swachh Iconic Places.
