Question : COIMBATORE MUSLIMS RELIEF FUND

(a) whether he is aware of the Coimbatore Muslims Relief Fund, established by the Tamil Nadu Mulsim Munnetra Kazhagam, to give relief and rehabilitationto the victims of the riots in Coimbatore in November-December 1997 and the bomb blasts in early 1998;

(b) whether notices have been issued to the organizers of the Fund to pay taxes on the contributions made to the fund;

(c) if so, whether the Fund is not entitled for tax exemption for the contributions received; and

(d) if so, the reasons therefor?
