Question : MOBILE SERVICE IN M. P.

(a) whether the Government is aware of the inconvenience caused to the subscribers of the Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited due to the vacant posts of district Deputy Manager in district Bhind and of officers in Lahar Sub-division in Madhya Pradesh;

(b) the concrete action being taken for solving the problems of the subscribers of district Bhind and other Sub-centres of this district;

(c) whether the Government proposes to provide mobile services in the Lahar sub-division of district Bhind;

(d) if so, the details thereof;

(e) the time by which the said service is likely to be provided to the subscribers; and

(f) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) There is no sanctioned post of District General Manager at Bhind. However, district General Manager of Morena is looking after the Telecom services at Bhind/Morena including Lahar sub division.

(b) District General Manager/ General Manager of Morena SSA are already looking after the problems of the customers of district Bhind and other sub-centres of this District.

(c) Yes, Sir.

(d) to (f) BSNL has already planned to provide GSM Mobile Services in Lahar Sub-division during 2005-2006.
