(a) to (c) : In the Chemical and Petrochemical Sectors, requirement of license under the Industries (Development and Regulation ) Act, 1951, has been dispensed
with except for 22 hazardous chemicals. As regards the Pharmaceutical Sector,
industrial licensing has been abolished for manufacture of all approved bulk
drugs, their intermediates and formulations, except those produced by the use of
recombinant DNA technology and requiring in-vivo use of nucleic acid as the
active principle No decision has been taken by the Government on further de-
licensing.
