(a) whether departmental irregularities have been committed at several places and contracts have been awarded to the inexperienced persons for laying the optical fiber cable at various places in Madhya Pradesh;
(b) if so, the details thereof; and
(c) the action being taken by the Government in the above matter for committing such irregularities?

(a) & (b) No departmental irregularities have been committed in connection with laying of Optical Fibre Cable in Madhya Pradesh circle. 38 contracts for a total route length of 102.35 Kms of optical fibre cable have been awarded to inexperienced contractors. This is as per the existing guidelines for developing adequate base of experienced contractors.
(c) Does not arise in view of (a) and (b) above.
