(b) The details of funds sanctioned to Jan Shikshan Sansthans (JSS) during the current financial year, i.e. 2019-20 (upto 31.1.2020) in the State of West Bengal, district wise, is given at Annexure “A”
(c) The number of beneficiaries trained by JSSs of West Bengal during the last three years is given below.
2016-17 : 9966
2017-18 : 4912
2018-19 : 5829
The list of trade/job roles in which beneficiaries trained by JSS is attached at Annexure-“B”.
Keeping in view the objective of supplementing the income level of the target group, the JSSs imparts training to the beneficiaries for their livelihood linkages, primarily in the skill-sets required in the informal sector of employment/wage-employment.
(d) Presently, there are 8 Jan Shikshan Sansthans in the State of West Bengal.
