Question : STEALING OF AVIATION FUEL .

(a) whether the officials of the airlines have been found stealing aviation fuel from the airport fuel storage rooms at Delhi airport;

(b) if so, the facts and details thereof;

(c) the action taken against the erring agencies;

(d) whether the Government is also aware that aviation fuel is stolen by unscrupulous persons at various airports in the country; and

(e) if so, the corrective steps taken by the Government in this regard?

(a) to (c): Yes, Sir. An incident has been reported that on 27.6.2006 a Jet Airways employee was apprehended by Central Industrial Security Force(CISF) personnel while trying to smuggle out 5 bottles of ATF(Air Turbine Fuel) from the IGI airport. He was handed over to the local police.

(d) No, Sir.
