Question : Filing Date for GST Returns

(a) whether the Government proposes to extend the Goods and Services Tax(GST) returns filing deadline by one or two months; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and whether the Government has also planned to conduct regional workshop for traders to explain filing of GST and if so, the details thereof?

(a) No Sir.
(b) Does not arise in view of reply at (a) above. A number of regional workshops for raising awareness about GST have been conducted all over the country. Further, GST Sewa Kendras have been set up in all Central Tax Commissionerates to assist the taxpayers.
