(a) the aims and objectives of Integrated Cattle Development Centre;
(b) whether it is true that the Ministry has taken a decision to set up a Gokul Gram in Veterinary University, Hyderabad, as an Integrated Cattle Development Centre;
(c) if so, the time by which the proposal was moved and whether it is true that still Gokul Gram has not been started in the above University; and
(d) if so, the reasons therefor and the time by which it is going to be commissioned?

(a) Integrated indigenous cattle development Centres – “Gokul Grams”- are being established under the Rashtriya Gokul Mission with the aim of conservation and development of indigenous bovine breeds in a scientific and holistic manner. The objectives for establishment of Gokul Gram are as under:
(i) To promote indigenous cattle rearing and conservation in a scientific manner.
(ii) To propagate high genetic merit bulls of indigenous breeds.
(iii) To optimize modern Farm Management practices and promote Common Resource Management.
(iv) To utilize animal waste in economical way i.e. Cow Dung, Cow Urine

(b) to (d) Yes, Sir. The proposal submitted by the State Government for establishment of Gokul Gram in Veterinary University, Hyderabad has been sanctioned by the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying. As informed by the State that the project shall be commissioned by June 2020.
