(a) the details of chemical and fertilizer units which are producing Ethylene Oxide in
the country;
(b) whether the existing production of Ethylene Oxide in the country is sufficient to
meet the domestic demand;
(c) if so, the details thereof; and
(d) if not, the steps taken by the Government to make up the demand and supply gap
of Ethylene Oxide in the country?

(a): The companies producing Ethylene Oxide (EO) in the country are
(i) M/s.
Reliance Industries Ltd.;
(ii) M/s. Indian Petrochemicals Corporation Ltd.;
(iii) M/s.
NOCIL.
(b) & (c): The production of EO is sufficient to meet the domestic demand.
(d): The manufacture of Ethylene Oxide has been de-licensed and investment
decisions are made by investors.
