Question : CGHS IN RAJOURI GARDEN



(a) whether the CGHS Dispensary No. 53 , Rajouri Garden , which is functioning from a rented house for the last three decades is required to be vacated from its existing premises by the end of February, 2005 under the orders of Hon`ble Court;

(b) if so, the alternate plans the Government has kept in hand to shift the dispensary to new premises so as to ensure that no inconvenience is caused to the beneficiaries ;

(c) whether the Government would consider seeking extension beyond February, 2005 for vacating the existing premises in case the new building of the dispensary at Tagore Garden is not constructed soon ;

(d) if so, the details thereof;

(e) if not, the reasons therefor

(f) whether any time frame has been fixed for completion of the work of the construction of new building for the dispensary at Tagore Garden; and

(g) if so, by what time the construction of new building is likely to be completed?

(a) Yes Sir.

(b) The CGHS has already initiated the process for hiring of an alternative accommodation for shifting of the dispensary.

(c)to(e) The CGHS has already given an undertaking to the Hon`ble High Court Delhi for vacating the premises by 28th February, 2005. Therefore, there is no proposal at present for seeking extension of time beyond February, 2005.

(f)&(g) The CGHS dispensary building at Tagore Garden is under construction and the CPWD have informed that the construction work is scheduled to be completed by October, 2005.
