Question : Profile of Beneficiaries under PM SVANidhi

a) whether the Government has started preparing social and financial profile of beneficiaries of PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) Scheme and if so, the details thereof;

b) whether benefits of various Centrally sponsored schemes are likely to be provided for overall socioeconomic upliftment through these profiles;

c) if so, the details thereof; and

d) whether financial upliftment benefits are also likely to accrue to the general public of Gujarat and if so, the details thereof?

(a) Yes, Sir. Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs has launched the program of socio-economic profiling of PM Street Vendor’s AtmaNirbhar Nidhi (PM SVANidhi) beneficiaries and their families in 125 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), selected for saturation in the first phaseon 4th January 2021, as an additional component of the Scheme. The socio-economic profile so created aims to assess their potential eligibility for various Central Government welfare schemes and facilitate linkages to these, for their holistic development and socio-economic upliftment.


(b)&(c) Yes, Sir. The benefits of the Central Government Schemes, namely, Pradhan Mantri Jeeban Jyoti Bima Yojana, PM Suraksha Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Registration under Building and Other Constructions Workers (Regulation of Employment and Conditions of Service) Act (BOCW), Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana, National Food Security Act (NFSA) portability benefits - One Nation One Ration Card (ONORC), Janani Suraksha Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), are to be provided to eligible PM SVANidhi beneficiaries and their family members.

(d) This program is only for PM SVANidhi beneficiaries and their family members of 125 ULBs across the country which includes Rajkot, Jamnagar, Junagarh, Vadodara, Gandhinagar, Anand and Nadiad ULBs of Gujarat.
