Question : Entrance exam for NEET and JEE-2021

(a) whether there is a change in pattern of entrance exam for NEET and JEE-2021 due to the Covid-19 pandemic;

(b) if so, details thereof; and

(c) whether any relaxation has been given to the candidates in eligibility criteria under joint entrance examination for the academic year 2021-22?

(a) & (b): The pattern of Question Paper in JEE (Main) 2021 has been revised due to Covid-19, as detailed below-
i. In JEE (Main) 2021 examination, the question paper will contain 90 questions, of which the candidate will have to attempt a total of 75 questions. The choice will be given in Section B (numerical), in which candidates have to attempt any five questions out of 10 in each of the three subjects.
ii. The JEE (Main) 2021 will now be conducted in Assamese, Bengali, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu also in addition to Hindi, Gujarati and English.
No decision has been taken regarding change in pattern of NEET examination yet.

(c) : With regard to eligibility criteria of JEE (Main) and JEE (Advanced) for 2021-22, it has been decided that the qualifying candidates will now only need a passing certificate in Class XII examination or equivalent irrespective of the marks obtained.
