Question : Implementation of PRASAD Scheme in Rajasthan

(a) whether the ‘PRASAD’ scheme of the Centre has been implemented in Rajasthan;
(b) if so, the place-wise details thereof;
(c) whether the Government of Rajasthan has sent any proposals under the ‘PRASAD’ scheme; and
(d) if so, the place-wise details thereof including the details of action taken by the Government on the said proposals along with the outcome thereof?

(a) to (d): Ministry of Tourism has approved the project viz. Integrated Development of Ajmer/Pushkar under PRASHAD Scheme at the total cost of Rs.40.44 crores in the year 2015-16 which has been revised to Rs.32.64 crores in September 2019. At present physical progress in the project is 95%. Detailed components approved under the project are:

i. Development of Ajmer Sharif Dargah Street.
ii. Upgradation from Delhi Gate to Dargah Street.
iii. Improvement of Delhi Gate and Dargah Gate Chowk.
iv. Tourist Information Centre (TIC) at Railway Station and Tourist Information Kiosk at Ajmer.
v. Restoration & Development works at Pushkar Sarovar.
vi. Restoration and Development works at Pushkar Market Street near Sarovar.
vii. Refurbishment, restoration and development work at Brahma Temple.
viii. Refurbishment, restoration & development work at Parikrama Path, Pushkar.
ix. Development & Refurbishment works at Savitri Mata Temple, Pushkar.

Submission of projects under PRASHAD Scheme is a continuous process. The projects under the scheme are identified for development in consultation with the State Government/Union Territory Administrations and are sanctioned subject to availability of funds, submission of suitable Detailed Project Reports, adherence to scheme guidelines and utilization of funds released earlier.
