(a) whether the Government has any plan to install flood lights on border roads including in Assam;
(b) if so, the details thereof along with the allocation of funds, border-wise;
(c) whether any time frame has been specified for completion of the said work; and
(d) if so, the details thereof ?

(a) to (d): The border floodlight installation has been carried out along Indo-Pakistan Border (IPB) and Indo-Bangladesh Border (IBB) including Assam. Along IBB, floodlight in 2398.16 km has been installed and along IPB, floodlight in 1943.76 km has been installed. The budget allocation for floodlight work along both Indo-Bangladesh Border and Indo-Pakistan Border is Rs. 50 Crore each during the year 2017-18. The sanctioned floodlight work along IBB is targeted for completion by December, 2018.
