Question : Development of Five Archaeological Sites

(a) the proposed plan for development of the five archaeological sites in the country as mentioned in the Union Budget, 2020;

(b) whether more sites will be developed on these lines in the future; and

(c) if so, the details thereof and the criteria applied for selection of
such sites?

(a) The five archaeological sites, namely, Rakhigarhi (Haryana), Hastinapur (Uttar Pradesh), Shivsagar (Assam), Dholavira (Gujarat) and Adichanallur (Tamil Nadu) will be developed with site museums, showcasing of the remains, necessary visitor amenities and conservation works.

(b) & (c) There is no such proposal under consideration with ASI.
