(a) whether complaints regarding irregularities in procurement procedure in Advanced Numerical Research and Analysis Group under the Defence Research and Development Organisation have been reported;

(a) & (b): Yes, Madam. Audit authorities, during audit scrutiny, have found out irregularity in prescribed procurement procedures by Advanced Numerical Research and Analysis Group (ANURAG). This was reported in Para 5.1 of C&AG’s Report No.30 of 2013. Public Accounts Committee (PAC) has examined the case and presented its Report No.44 of 2015-16 in Lok Sabha and laid in Rajya Sabha on 28th April 2016 on the subject “Extra Avoidable Expenditure by ANURAG”.
(c) Actions on the recommendations / observations of the PAC are being taken up by Government.
