(a) the quantum of the rent paid annually for running Post Offices in the country, State-wise;
(b) the details of the allocation made, State-wise for purchase of land/space to
construct Post Offices in the country during the last three years and the current year; and
(c) the time by which the proposed buildings for Post Offices are likely to be
completed?

(a) The information regarding the quantum of the rent paid annually (for the years 2008-09
and for the current year from April, 2009 to January, 2010) for running Post Offices in the
country, State-wise is given in Annexure ‘A’.
(b) The details of the allocation made, State-wise for purchase of land/space to construct
Post Offices in the country during the last three years and the current year is given in
Annexure ‘B’.
(c) Completion of proposed buildings for Post Offices will depend upon the
availability of funds.
