Question : WORKS ON NATIONAL HIGHWAY



(a) the details of the work being undertaken on the National Highway- 24 in Uttar Pradesh ;

(b) the financial allocation made for these works;

(c) whether the Government propose to increase existing financial allocation in order to complete these works at the earliest; and

(d) if so, the details thereof ?

(a) The following important works each costing Rs. 5.00 crores and above are in different stages of progress :-

3.Construction of Shaharanpur Bypass 17.47 March, 2001 Bypass completed. Guide bunds are in progress.
4 Strengthening weak two lane pavement in K.M. 343-360 5.42 June, 2000 -
5 Strengthening weak two lane 8.70 March, 2001 - pavement in K.M. 461 to 471 & 474 to 481.


(b) Allocation for the development of NHs are make to the state as a whole and not National Highway wise.

(c) & (d) The works are targeted to be completed as per dates indicated in (a) above subject to the availability of funds. There is no proposal to increase the financial allocation to expedite the completion ahead of schedule.
