Question : Ayurvedic-Homoeopathic Research Centres

Will the Minister of AYURVEDA, YOGA AND NATUROPATHY, UNANI, SIDDHA AND HOMOEOPATHY (AYUSH) be pleased to state:

(a) the number of Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic Research Centres established by the Government during the last three years;

(b) whether the adequate funds have been allocated for establishment of these centres and if so, the details thereof;

(c) whether any proposal has been received by the Government for allocation of additional funds and if so, the details thereof;

(d) whether the State Government of Maharashtra has sent any proposal to the Central Government for establishment of College or Research Centre and if so, the details thereof and the time by which the said project is likely to materialise; and

(e) the other steps taken by the Government to promote research and development in Homoeopathy in the country?

(a): The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) and Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) are Autonomous Organisations under the Ministry of AYUSH. During last three years CCRAS has established Two Research centres of Ayurveda i.e. Regional Ayurveda Research Centre, Agartala and Regional Ayurveda Research Centre, Dimapur in February, 2019 and CCRH has reopened Clinical research Units at Dimapur and Aizwal in 2018.
(b) & (c): No.
(d): Yes. Keeping in view the financial constraints of the Ministry of AYUSH and also the fact that two national level institutions dedicated to Ayurveda sare presently being established, it will not be viable to establish an All India Institute of Ayurveda (AIIA) at Sindhudurg.
(e): The Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH) through its network of 24 Institutes/Units has taken the following initiatives to spread awareness regarding Homeopathy and encourage its use in the country.

? Participating in various Health melas/ Arogya Fairs/ Parvs/Health Camps.
? Integrations ‘Homoeopathy for healthy child’ with Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakram (RBSK) launched by Govt. of India.
? The programme ‘Homoeopathy for Healthy teething’ which is a component of ‘Homoeopathy for healthy child’ is launched in the month of January 2015 at identified districts (Goutam Budh Nagar, Palghar, Gorakhpur, Kamrup ,Cuttack, Delhi, Jaipur and Ranchi)
? Integrating of AYUSH systems (Homoeopathy) in National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Diseases & Stroke (NPCDCS), at four districts –Krishna (Andhra Pradesh), Darjeeling, (West Bengal), Sambalpur (Odisha)and Nasik (Maharashtra)
? Swasthya Rakshan program has been launched which is being undertaken through 11 institutes adopting 55 villages under the Council. Local population are being provided health care at their door step.

Providing healthcare services through the OPDs/IPDs of the above institutes.
