(a) whether the Government has received any representation regarding celebration of the Birth Anniversary of Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (Shiv Jayanti) i.e. 19th February as a "RASHTRIYA PRERNA DIN (DIWAS)"; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and the response of the Government thereto?

(a) & (b): No representation regarding celebration of the Birth Anniversary of Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj (Shiv Jayanti) i.e. 19th February as a “RASHTRIYA PRERNA DIN (DIWAS)” has been received in the Ministry of Home Affairs. However, representations regarding celebration of Birth Anniversary of Shri Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj as ‘Rashtra Bhakti Prerna Divas’ were received in this Ministry. These representations were examined in consultation with the Ministry of Culture and the proposals contained in these representations were not agreed to.
