(a) whether the operations of transport companies are agents of converting black money into white ones;
(b) if so, the details thereof;
(c) whether the Government propose to take any action in this regard; and
(d) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a) to (d): Appropriate action against tax evasion, including against transport companies, is an on-going process. Such action under direct tax laws includes searches, surveys, enquiries, assessment of income, levy of taxes, penalties, etc. and filing of prosecution complaints in criminal courts, wherever applicable.
Further, the disclosure of information regarding specific taxpayers is prohibited except as provided under section 138 of the Income-tax Act, 1961
