Will the Minister of ELECTRONICS AND INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY be pleased to state:
(a) whether the Government has sanctioned electronics hardware park/manufacturing centre or units in Warangal, Karimnagar and Hyderabad in Telangana; and
(b) if so, the details thereof and progress made by the Government in this regard ?
(a) and (b): Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India has accorded approval to M/s Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation Ltd. (TSIIC) for setting up of two (02) Greenfield Electronics Manufacturing Clusters (EMCs) at e-city Hyderabad and Maheshwaram in the state of Telengana. These Electronics Manufacturing Clusters are being developed over an area of 912.24 acres with a project cost of Rs 1104.85 crore including a Grant-in-aid of Rs 391.03 crore from Government of India. Till now Grant-in-aid of Rs 78.20 crore has been released to these projects. Details are enclosed at Annexure.
