(a): During the last five years, Airports Authority of India (AAI) has completed Major Engineering Infrastructure works at 47 airports. These are Madurai, Bareilly, Kolkata, Agartala, Barapani, Raipur, Ranchi, Thiruvananthapuram, Lilabari, Khajuraho, Jaipur, Darbhanga, Ahmedabad, Dehradun, Puducherry, Chandigarh, Bokaro, Fursatgunj, Chennai, Imphal, Guwahati, Dibrugarh, Rupsi, Gorakhpur, Vijayawada, Allahabad, Amritsar, Hindon, Kadapa, Mangaluru, Goa, Udaipur, Kolhapur, Lucknow, Jammu, Delhi, Tezu, Kishangarh, Belgaum, Hubli, Tirupati, Rajahmundry, Tuticorin, Salem, Coimbatore, Silchar and Calicut. Additionally, under Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS)- Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik (UDAN), 59 airports including 5 helipads and 2 water aerodromes have been upgraded/revived for commencement of RCS operations since the launch of the scheme in October, 2016.;
(b): During the last five years, AAI, after bidding process, has awarded 6 airports viz. Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Jaipur, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram under Public Private Partnership (PPP) to M/s Adani Enterprises Ltd. (AEL) for operation, management and development for a period of 50 years.
(c) & (d): AAI Board in its 190th Meeting held on 05th September, 2019 has approved leasing of another six airports namely Bhubaneshwar, Varanasi, Amritsar, Raipur, Indore and Trichy for undertaking operations, management and development through PPP.;
(e): Does not arise in view of (c) & (d) above.
