(b) the cities for which proposals for construction of by-pass were received during the last two years;
(c) the number of proposals out of them accepted by the Government; and
(d) the reasons for not constructing by-pass in Ranchi?

(a) The norms for construction of bypasses are traffic volume, divertable traffic, construction cost and consequent techno-economic viability.
(b) & (c) A statement is enclosed.
(d) Provision for feasibility study/detailed engineering for construction of Ranchi Bypass amounting to Rs. 1.00 Crore exists in the Annual Plan 2000-2001. Estimate for the same will be examined for sanction after its receipt from the State Government.
