(a) the details of Hindus being fewer vis-a-vis total population of the respective States, State-wise;
(b) whether the Government proposes to categories them as minorities and extend the benefits to them as available to minorities; and
(c) if so, the details thereof and if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): Office of the Registrar General of India has informed that the State-wise Census 2011 Total and Religion-wise Population is available at the following link:

(b) & (c): The Central Government notifies a community as minority in the context of India as a whole, and not for individual State. The issue of declaring any community as a minority with in a State comes under the purview of the State concerned.
