Question : COMPUTERISED RESERVATION CENTRES IN WEST BENGAL



(a) whether the Railways are aware that due to absence of `Computerised Reservation Centres` at many Railway Stations in West Bengal, the users and passengers are facing a lot of difficulties;

(b) if so, the details thereof;

(c) the action taken by the Railways in the matter;

(d) whether the Railways have any plan to set up at least one `Computerised Reservation Centre` in each district in the country; and

(e) if so, the details thereof ?

(b)&(c): Do not arise.

(d): Yes, Sir.

(e): As on date, Computerised Passenger Reservation Centres are functional at 1322 locations covering 523 district headquarters and work for 82 more district headquarters have been sanctioned.
