(a) the naxal-affected areas in Nawarangpur, Malkangiri, Koraput districts of Odisha where expansion of mobile network has taken place; and
(b) the new efforts being made by the Ministry for expansion of mobile network in naxal-affected areas in the aforementioned districts?

(a) Mobile connectivity at 2355 tower locations identified by Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) across 10 States in the Left Wing Extremism affected areas (LWE) has been installed under LWE Phase-I Project. In districts of Nawarangpur, Malkangiri and Koraput 14, 28 and 27 mobile towers are radiating respectively.
(b) Under LWE Phase-II project, Government has approved installation of 35, 76 and 94 mobile towers in the locations identified by MHA in districts of Nabarangpur, Malkangiri and Koraput respectively.
