(a) whether the Government is aware of alleged existence of illegal weighing bridges and petrol pumps along the National Highway No-6 (NH-6) passing through the States of Assam and Meghalaya;
(b) the number of weighing bridges which have been granted permission for setting up between Jorabad and Silchar on NH-6;
(c) whether the Government is aware that the illegal weighing bridges on NH-6 are creating a lot of obstruction in the flow of traffic; and
(d) whether the Government proposes to order a CBI inquiry to find out the officials, if any, involved in grant of such permission against the prescribed guidelines of the Ministry?
