(a): Only one project of 3.75 Mega Watt (MW) capacity for generating power from about 300 tonnes per day garbage was installed at Timarpur, Delhi in the year 1987.
(b) & (c): Yes, Sir. One project for generating 5 MW power from about 300 tonnes per day garbage in Lucknow is under installation under National Programme for Energy Recovery from Urban and Industrial Wastes. State Nodal Agencies and Urban Local Bodies have issued Letters of Intent to different entrepreneurs for setting up more such projects on Build, Own and Operate basis. The state-wise details of all these projects are given in the Annexure.
