(a) whether the Government/NHAI has taken any steps for repairing/ resurfacing/widening and strengthening of National Highway No.6 from Kharagpur to Baharagora;
(b) if so, the details and the present status thereof;
(c) the time by which the said work is likely to be completed; and
(d) if not, the reasons therefor?

(a): Yes, Sir.
(b): Details of works sanctioned on the stretches from Kharagpur to Baharagora of NH-6
during last five years and the current financial year is at Annex. In addition, a proposal
for four-laning of this stretch is at feasibility study stage.
(c) & (d): All the sanctioned works are likely to be completed by June, 2011.
