Question : Discontinuation of Train

(a) whether the Government proposes to discontinue the service of Delhi-Allahabad Duronto Express;

(b) if so, the reasons therefor;

(c) whether the difficulties to be faced by the passengers of Prayagraj and nearby districts have been assessed due to the said move which will also increase their burden on the trains running between Allahabad and New Delhi, if so, the details thereof;

(d) whether any alternate arrangement has been made by in this regard;

(e) if so, whether the Government will reconsider its decision to discontinue the service of this train; and

(f) if so, the details thereof?

(a) to (f) It has been decided to replace the services of 12275/12276 New Delhi-Allahabad Duronto Express (Tri-weekly) with a 4 days a week service of New Delhi-Allahabad Humsafar Express. As such, there is an increase in the number of services available per week
