Question : AGREEMENT WITH ANVC



(a) whether any ceasefire or any other agreement was signed between the Government and Achik National Volunteer Council (ANVC);

(b) if so, the details thereof along with the status of implementation thereof; and

(c) the number of ANVC cadres surrendered and the locations where surrender camp has been set up so far?

(a) & (b): Yes Madam. Memorandum of Settlement (MoS) was signed between, the Government of India, the Government of Meghalaya and the ANVC and its breakaway group ANVC (B) on 24.09.2014.

(c): 397 cadres of ANVC {161 UG cadres and 236 Over Ground Workers (OGWs)} and 277 cadres of ANVC/B have surrendered. Designated camps were set up at Upper Chandmari area (PS Tura, West Garo Hills District/WGHD), Meghalaya.
