Question : Special Armed Forces Recruitment Campaign

(a) whether the Government proposes to run a special armed forces recruitment campaign in view of the national security and increase in requirement of armed forces capacity by recruiting youth in the army from rural areas;

(b) if so, the areas including of Bihar where this campaign is likely to be held: and

(c) if not, the reasons threfor?

(a) to (c): No, Sir. At present, no special recruitment drive is being planned by the armed forces.
The location for recruitment rally is decided from amongst the districts under jurisdiction of the Army Recruiting Office (ARO) in consultation with the civil administration.

Recruitment for the Navy has migrated to an application-based process wherein online applications are invited from the eligible youth through an advertisement twice a year for examinations to be held in February-March and August-September at designated centres across the country.
Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT) for selection of officers and Scheduled Test for Airmen Recruitment (STAR) for the airmen are conducted bi-annually. Induction is an ongoing as well as time bound process and is being carried out strictly as per the timelines.
