(a), (b) & (c): As per the extant policy, FDI up to 100% is permitted on the automatic route in Hotel and Tourism Sector. During January 1999 to August 2002, 181 financial proposals were approved by the Government involving foreign direct investment of Rs.1402.48 crores. A statement indicating State-wise break-up of FDI approved during this period is enclosed.
